Schools to Watch Conference
IMLEA is a member of the National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform, which sponsors the Schools to Watch program. This program, in effect in 19 states, uses a stringent set of criteria to guide school improvement and recognizes middle level schools which provide their students with an education that is academically excellent, developmentally responsive, and socially equitable. This year, the annual Schools to Watch Conference was held on June 24–26 in Washington, DC.All 3 Indiana STW schools had teams at the conference and received their crystal awards and each school gave a presentation highlighting a successful program in their school. These presentations will also be given at IMLEA's 2010 Oct. 4th conference.
