January Theme - Youth Changemakers – Join us this month as we celebrate the power of youth changemakers!!  There are so many different ways kids and teens can make their mark on the world by being changemakers! They can practice peace and nonviolence, learning how to contribute to common good, or even choose a cause they are passionate about to champion.

Celebrate MLK Day with generationOn - Just as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. sought to change the world for the better, we can do the same by serving others.  Join us Monday, January 16 as we celebrate his life and legacy with this national day of service.  We have project guides, fact sheets and lesson plans to help teach kids and teens about the contributions of Dr. King, how to further his vision for equal rights for all, and how to make your mark on the world through service.  http://generationon.org/mlk-day-2017

  • Justice and Kindness for MLK Jr. Day - On January 16, 2017, a day of recognition of the equal rights work of Martin Luther King, Jr., let’s take his words to heart that challenge us to treat all people equally and find unity with communication and nonviolence.  This lesson plan on LTG Teach One page - Powerful Words Unite Us in Service can be adapted for any grade level.  It will sparks discussions during the month of January about driving out hate with love. A perfect lesson and service project for K-12 classrooms – The reflection brings learning and service impact together.  Civil dialogue plus advocacy.
  • LTG Issue Area Page -  Get ideas for planning service and learning around 14 different issue areas! Lesson plans, community resources, and project ideas.
